Breathing Room: Reclaiming Health & Equity in Queensgate & Lower Price Hill is a transformative capstone project addressing health and economic disparities in Cincinnati's Queensgate and Lower Price Hill areas. Led by Alexander Costa and Adnan Alfadhali, mentored by Professors Danilo Palazzo and Hye Yeon Park, the initiative targets challenges exacerbated by Interstate 75, including air and noise pollution. Through strategies like partial highway burial, urban forestry, and green infrastructure, it aims to enhance air quality, mitigate pollution, and foster community resilience. By envisioning a future of healthier, more equitable neighborhoods, "Breathing Room" seeks to create lasting positive change and connectivity between communities by 2050.
